Introducing Vector Motion Lab: Animated SVGs Powered by Gemini 3.1

Yesterday, Google released Gemini 3.1 with standout animated SVG intelligence. Today, we are releasing Vector Motion Lab: a new tool on Raq.com that puts that capability to work immediately.

Why Gemini 3.1 changes things

Gemini 3.1 Pro arrived with a significant leap in structured visual generation. It can produce clean, valid animated SVG files from plain text descriptions, complete with smooth CSS animations and well-structured vector paths. Previous models could approximate static SVGs, but Gemini 3.1 handles looping motion, timing, and layered animation natively.

What Vector Motion Lab does

Type a description and Vector Motion Lab generates lightweight, looping animated SVGs ready for the web. No video files, no heavy GIFs. The output is clean vector code that scales to any size, loads instantly, and loops smoothly.

Use cases include hero sections, animated icons, product explainers, social media visuals, and loading animations. Anything that benefits from motion without the weight of traditional video.

  • Prompt expansion: Write one instruction and the AI generates up to 8 distinct prompt variations, each with a different creative interpretation.
  • Multiple attempts: Run up to 3 attempts per prompt to get a range of outputs and pick the best.
  • 10 aspect ratios: From 1:1 square to 21:9 ultrawide. Match any layout without cropping after the fact.
  • Edit mode: Refine any generated SVG with follow-up instructions. Change colours, adjust timing, or rework specific elements while preserving the rest.
